We Are Going Mobile Folks!

In our article last week “Tired of “managing” your corporate data plan?”, we talked about the headache and pains of trying to manage the growing footprint of mobile devices in your organizations.  It is definitely not easy to do manually, hence the need for partners who solve this problem by using software and AI to reduce costs and save you time.

As a follow up, here are some more stats about the growth of mobile over the next few years (Thanks vMox, Skedulo and Blue Corona for the stats)

  • Research firm IDC estimates that the average US worker gains 240 work hours per year when using mobility solutions,
  • Gartner predicts that by 2022, 70% of all software interactions will occur on mobile devices, such as phones, tablets, and wearables.
  • IDC estimates that mobile workers in the U.S. alone will reach more than 105 million by 2020
  • In the U.S. workforce, 1 in 5 workers are contract workers, and freelancers and contractors are expected to make up half of the workforce in the next decade (BYOD Central)
  • Millennials are expected to make up 75% of the workforce by 2025 (think about what they would do without texting?!)
  • 75% of all emails are open on mobile devices in 2019
  • 30% of Americans would rather give up their friends than their mobile device…ouch
  • Worldwide, more people own a cell phone than a toothbrush!!  (maybe we should all become dentists)

You may or may not be surprised by the stats, but the point is you should be preparing for the growth of mobile in your organization from the perspective of security, cost, consumer/business experience, etc.
