After authorizing Opkalla as a reseller, an Opkalla Team Member will send a customer-specific Granular Delegated Admin Privileges (GDAP) link in order to identify licensing structure, optimize licensing, identify key renewal dates, and provide ongoing support.
Opkalla will assist with any changes from your existing license provider.
If your licenses were purchased from Microsoft directly – Opkalla will provision your new licenses and take care of the cancellation of your existing licenses. There will be no disruption to any service. Your next bill from Microsoft will either be pro-rated based on partial month usage, or you will receive a credit back for any pre-payment you may have paid upfront.
If your licenses were purchased from another Microsoft Reseller (i.e. CDW, SHI, etc.) – Coordinate with your Opkalla Account Executive the date you intend to notify your existing reseller you are switching to Opkalla for Microsoft CSP. This will help prevent an outage or double billing. Based on the agreed date, Opkalla will provision your new licenses and take care of any license changes that were discussed. There will be no disruption to any service. It is important you confirm your licenses have been canceled with your previous reseller to ensure you are no longer billed.
Once your licenses are provisioned through Opkalla, you will receive an automated email notifying you about your license provisioning. Opkalla will then onboard you for using our Microsoft Portal. This will include the option to participate in one-on-one live onboarding, or you can follow the portal training steps listed here - Portal Demo: Microsoft 365 for Business.
Once Opkalla is your Microsoft Partner of Record, there are two convenient methods for making changes to your licensing (you can also choose a combination of both):
Self-Service Option: You will have access to a personalized Opkalla licensing portal where you can add, remove, purchase, or suspend any Microsoft CSP product. Changes are then reflected in your O365 admin portal in real-time.
Opkalla Support Option: You can email support@opkalla.com and someone will be happy to make license changes on your behalf.
